Managing Director and Partner

Studied sociology and social psychology at Mannheim University; worked for different companies in the field of pharmaceutical market and consumer research since 1983; co-founded KDA Marktforschung GmbH. Member of Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V. (BVM), the European Society for Opinion and Market Research (ESOMAR) as well as Berufsverband der Deutschen Usability und User Experience Professionals (German UPA).

Dipl.-Psych. Thomas Jahnke
Managing Director, CPUX-F

Studied psychology at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald and at the Technische Universität Darmstadt with a focus on operational, organisational, social, and work psychology. Worked since 2000 in several companies in the field of pharmaceutical research, B2B, automotive, and consumer market research.

Joined KDA in 2007. Is also a qualified trainer and coach. Has a strong interest in and understanding of difficult and complex indications, such as neurological, genetic, and oncological diseases, and is also focused on human factor design research and usability engineering. Thomas became a professional member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) in 2015.

Miriam Simianer (M.A.)
Junior Project Manager

Studied communication sciences (M.A.) with a focus on quantitative and qualitative social research at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich; has been working for KDA since 2022; assists with field organization and coordination, as well as the implementation and analysis of usability and human factor studies for medical devices with patients and medical professionals.

Joshua Valentin (B.A.)
Study Assistant

Bachelors in Japanese studies/political science with a focus on Japanese economics and international politics at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main; has been working as a study assistant for KDA Marktforschung since 2024; responsible for conducting human factors/usability studies and project-related support for market research projects.

Dr. Chimezie Amaefule
Senior UX Research Professional

Studied Cognitive Science (M.Sc.) with Psychology and Neuroscience focus at Osnabrueck University. Doctorate in Medical Sciences (Ph.D.) with a research focus on the development of Assistive Technologies in medicine at Rostock University, where he contributed towards the development of a wearable assistive device for dementia patients in an interdisciplinary project team of healthcare professionals and IT specialists; obtained further specialisations in User Experience Research from the Nielsen Norman Group, USA and Digital Health from Imperial College London; has been working for the KDA since 2024; responsible for field organization and coordination as well as for the implementation and evaluation of human factors and usability studies for medical devices with patients and medical professionals.Studied Cognitive Science (M.Sc.) with Psychology and Neuroscience focus at Osnabrueck University.
